Sold at the upper estimate price
In December 2014 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II. Dutch and Flemish Drawings from 1500-1900, which included the work The Upper Part Of An Egyptian Sarcophagus by Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich. The auction ended at the price of EUR 1,500.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Christian Wilhelm Ernst Dietrich achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Comedic Performance In A Park Setting in February 2013 with an auction result of USD 74,500.00 (€ 56,961.54).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part II.
