In March 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art Online, which included the work Twilight In The Catskills by Christian Walter. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,000.00 (€ 36,268.02), 33% above the upper estimate. With this result, Twilight In The Catskills is even the most expensive work of art by Christian Walter that we have observed at auctions so far.
