Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A Man Smoking; And A Lady Reading by Christian Heuser was sold in the 19th Century European Art auction at Christies in London in June 2013. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,750.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Christian Heuser - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An old Tyrolean gentleman; and A Tyrolean lady, which sold at auction in May 2007 for GBP 4,320.00 (€ 6,357.17).

Die Arbeit A Man Smoking; And A Lady Reading von Christian Heuser wurde im Juni 2013 in der Auktion 19th Century European Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.750,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden.
