Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2000 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work An extensive Rhenish landscape, with boats moored by a jetty by Christian Georg Schütz The Elder. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,399.76). Admittedly, works by Christian Georg Schütz The Elder have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Rhenish landscape with peasants talking by a track, figures on a bridge and a village beyond; and A Rhenish landscape with figures on a track, a hilltop village beyond in April 2002 with an auction result of GBP 45,410.00 (€ 73,472.19).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit An extensive Rhenish landscape, with boats moored by a jetty von Christian Georg Schütz The Elder zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 7.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.399,76) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Christian Georg Schütz The Elder auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Rhenish landscape with peasants talking by a track, figures on a bridge and a village beyond; and A Rhenish landscape with figures on a track, a hilltop village beyond im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.410,00 (€ 73.472,19).
