Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction The Gentleman's Library Sale, which included the work British Raptors by Chris Christoforou. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,147.50 (€ 1,323.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chris Christoforou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tiger and Cubs, which sold at auction in February 2021 for GBP 3,187.50 (€ 3,676.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Gentleman's Library Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit British Raptors von Chris Christoforou zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.147,50 (€ 1.323,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chris Christoforou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tiger and Cubs beobachtet, die im Februar 2021 für GBP 3.187,50 (€ 3.676,18) versteigert wurde.
