A top price for Choi Woolga - as previously expected
In September 2009 Christies in New York held the auction Japanese and Korean Art, which included this untitled work by Choi Woolga. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 16,250.00 (€ 11,107.31) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, this work without title is the most expensive artwork by Choi Woolga that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im September 2009 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Japanese and Korean Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Choi Woolga zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 16.250,00 (€ 11.107,31) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist dieses Werk ohne Titel das teuerste Kunstwerk von Choi Woolga, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
