Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2017 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work WORK 78-513 by Cho Yong-Ik. The auction ended at the price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,255.96), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cho Yong-Ik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Work 78-514, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,462.28).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2017 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit WORK 78-513 von Cho Yong-Ik zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.255,96) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cho Yong-Ik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Work 78-514 beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 687.500,00 (€ 79.462,28) versteigert wurde.
