In the The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 auction, the work Playing Zither sold for HKD 9,440.00 (€ 1,031.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cheng Jiezi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in May 2018 for HKD 30,680.00 (€ 3,351.93).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Cheng Jiezi erzielte im Mai 2018 bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Beauty of Brushes – A Selection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy 4 wurde die Arbeit Playing Zither für HKD 9.440,00 (€ 1.031,36) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cheng Jiezi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im Mai 2018 für HKD 30.680,00 (€ 3.351,93) versteigert wurde.
