A top price for Chen Zi
This artwork by Chen Zi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Camellia, Bamboo and Rock sold for HKD 547,500.00 (€ 45,073.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. This high result makes Camellia, Bamboo and Rock the most expensive artwork by Chen Zi that we have observed at auctions so far.
