A top price for Chen Xiaocui
This artwork by Chen Xiaocui achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Makeup sold for HKD 82,600.00 (€ 10,065.36) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00. This high result makes Makeup the most expensive artwork by Chen Xiaocui that we have observed at auctions so far.
