Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year China Guardian held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Scurive Script, Orchid by Chen Peiqiu. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 30,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 86,400.00 (€ 11,071.79) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Peiqiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blossoming Lotus In Summer in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 4,820,000.00 (€ 445,125.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte China Guardian die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Scurive Script, Orchid von Chen Peiqiu zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 86.400,00 (€ 11.071,79) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Peiqiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blossoming Lotus In Summer im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.820.000,00 (€ 445.125,12).
