This artwork by Chen Peiqiu achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in October last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Panda sold for HKD 110,400.00 (€ 14,147.29) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Peiqiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blossoming Lotus In Summer in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 4,820,000.00 (€ 445,125.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 84 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Chen Peiqiu erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei China Guardian einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Panda für HKD 110.400,00 (€ 14.147,29) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Peiqiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blossoming Lotus In Summer im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.820.000,00 (€ 445.125,12).
