Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orchid by Chen Peiqiu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April last year. The price achieved of HKD 163,800.00 (€ 19,804.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 130,000.00 – 260,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Peiqiu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Blossoming Lotus In Summer in October 2011 with an auction result of HKD 4,820,000.00 (€ 445,125.12).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orchid von Chen Peiqiu kam im April letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 163.800,00 (€ 19.804,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 130.000,00 – 260.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Peiqiu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Blossoming Lotus In Summer im Oktober 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.820.000,00 (€ 445.125,12).
