The work Pearl(Painted in 2007) by Chen Ke was auctioned at China Guardian in October last year. It achieved a price of HKD 2,400,000.00 (€ 307,549.83), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Chen Ke; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Outside the Window sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 594,816.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pearl(Painted in 2007) von Chen Ke kam im Oktober letzten Jahres bei China Guardian zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 2.400.000,00 (€ 307.549,83) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Chen Ke; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Outside the Window im März diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 594.816,04).
