Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Originals, which included the work Old Photo No. 2; Childhood No. 1; & Old Photo No. 3 by Chen Ke. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 24,000.00 – 36,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,200.00 (€ 3,046.86) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Ke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Outside the Window in March this year with an auction result of HKD 5,080,000.00 (€ 594,816.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion No Regrets: 20/21 Art Online: All Originals durch, in der auch die Arbeit Old Photo No. 2; Childhood No. 1; & Old Photo No. 3 von Chen Ke zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 24.000,00 – 36.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.200,00 (€ 3.046,86) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Ke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Outside the Window im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.080.000,00 (€ 594.816,04).
