Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grass Style (Character Components) by Chen Guangwu was auctioned at POLY in Hong Kong in October 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,777.23) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Chen Guangwu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Two Works) in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 28,468.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Grass Style (Character Components) von Chen Guangwu kam im Oktober 2016 bei POLY in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.777,23) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Chen Guangwu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Two Works) im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 28.468,44).
