A top price for Chen Chenbo - as previously expected
The work Alishan in Spring by Chen Chenbo was sold in the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 3,500,000.00 – 4,500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 3,594,100.00 (€ 466,312.74) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Alishan in Spring is the most expensive artwork by Chen Chenbo that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Alishan in Spring von Chen Chenbo wurde im Oktober 2002 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 3.500.000,00 – 4.500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 3.594.100,00 (€ 466.312,74) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Alishan in Spring das teuerste Kunstwerk von Chen Chenbo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
