Despite a disappointment, a good price for Charlotte Wahlström
When the work Beech forest with deer by Charlotte Wahlström was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in December 2021, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 24,000.00 (€ 2,341.05). Despite this disappointing result, Beech forest with deer is the most expensive artwork by Charlotte Wahlström that we have observed at auction so far.

Als die Arbeit Beech forest with deer von Charlotte Wahlström im Dezember 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 24.000,00 (€ 2.341,05) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist Beech forest with deer das teuerste Kunstwerk von Charlotte Wahlström, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
