Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction European Art, which included the work Ruins of Luxor by Charles-Théodore Frère. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,711.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles-Théodore Frère achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grande caravane de La Mecque in December 2018 with an auction result of EUR 195,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ruins of Luxor von Charles-Théodore Frère zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.711,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles-Théodore Frère erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grande caravane de La Mecque im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 195.000,00.
