Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2003 Christies in London held the auction MARITIME AND NAVAL BATTLES, which included the work A big class cutter racing down the Channel by Charles Taylor, Jun.. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 881.25 (€ 1,265.05) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Charles Taylor, Jun. have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2004 the work A Coastal Trader Heeling In The Breeze was auctioned for GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,479.82).
