In November this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work Self-portrait by Charles Spencelayh. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,664.00 (€ 1,928.21), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Spencelayh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Time On His Hands in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 265,600.00 (€ 384,318.77).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-portrait von Charles Spencelayh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.664,00 (€ 1.928,21) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Spencelayh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Time On His Hands im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 265.600,00 (€ 384.318,77).
