Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Self-portrait by Charles Spencelayh was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,920.00 (€ 2,224.86) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Spencelayh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Time On His Hands in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 265,600.00 (€ 384,318.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Self-portrait von Charles Spencelayh kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.920,00 (€ 2.224,86) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Spencelayh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Time On His Hands im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 265.600,00 (€ 384.318,77).
