Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2008 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures, which included the work The young gypsy by Charles Sillem Lidderdale. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,355.47). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sillem Lidderdale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young girl carrying partridges in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 24,675.00 (€ 40,315.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & Traditionalist Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The young gypsy von Charles Sillem Lidderdale zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.355,47) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sillem Lidderdale erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A young girl carrying partridges im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.675,00 (€ 40.315,53).
