Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2008 a collector was able to acquire the work British The Soldier'S Return by Charles Sillem Lidderdale for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,186.60). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Pictures at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sillem Lidderdale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young girl carrying partridges in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 24,675.00 (€ 40,315.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2008 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit British The Soldier'S Return von Charles Sillem Lidderdale für GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.186,60) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sillem Lidderdale erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A young girl carrying partridges im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.675,00 (€ 40.315,53).
