Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work A young girl in a wooded landscape in a white mob cap with pink ribbon by Charles Sillem Lidderdale. The price achieved of GBP 1,500.00 (€ 1,697.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Sillem Lidderdale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A young girl carrying partridges in December 2001 with an auction result of GBP 24,675.00 (€ 40,315.53).

Im März 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Pictures Including Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A young girl in a wooded landscape in a white mob cap with pink ribbon von Charles Sillem Lidderdale zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.500,00 (€ 1.697,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles Sillem Lidderdale erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A young girl carrying partridges im Dezember 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.675,00 (€ 40.315,53).
