Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Rollo Peters could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California Art auction, the work Twilight Reflections changed hands for USD 9,600.00 (€ 8,856.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Rollo Peters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moon over a pool in August last year with an auction result of USD 40,695.00 (€ 40,432.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Rollo Peters konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California Art wechselte die Arbeit Twilight Reflections für USD 9.600,00 (€ 8.856,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Rollo Peters auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moon over a pool im August letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.695,00 (€ 40.432,19).
