The »bidding war« ended at USD 7,012.50 (€ 6,655.12), 40% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles Rollo Peters have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moon over a pool in August last year with an auction result of USD 40,695.00 (€ 40,432.19).
