This artwork by Charles Percier achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2005. In the Old Master and 19th Century Drawings auction, the work A Roman courtyard seen from a loggia decorated with antique helmets on composite columns and a sarcophagus sold for USD 19,200.00 (€ 14,713.77) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Percier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reliefs Et Monuments Antiques, which sold at auction in March 2016 for EUR 41,480.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Percier erzielte im Januar 2005 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Drawings wurde die Arbeit A Roman courtyard seen from a loggia decorated with antique helmets on composite columns and a sarcophagus für USD 19.200,00 (€ 14.713,77) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Percier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reliefs Et Monuments Antiques beobachtet, die im März 2016 für EUR 41.480,00 versteigert wurde.
