Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The floating harbour, Bristol by Charles Parsons Knight. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 437.50 (€ 555.85). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Parsons Knight - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fisherfolk on the jetty, which sold at auction in May 2001 for GBP 1,175.00 (€ 1,969.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The floating harbour, Bristol von Charles Parsons Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 437,50 (€ 555,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Parsons Knight mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fisherfolk on the jetty beobachtet, die im Mai 2001 für GBP 1.175,00 (€ 1.969,91) versteigert wurde.
