A top price for Charles Octave Levy - as previously expected
In June 2007 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, including Spanish and Orientalist Art, which included the work Salome by Charles Octave Levy. The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,684.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Salome is the most expensive artwork by Charles Octave Levy that we have observed at auctions so far.
