Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2021 Christies held the auction An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection, which included the work Fowey by Charles March Gere. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,090.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Other works by Charles March Gere have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2008 the work Painswick Beacon was auctioned for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,692.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2021 führte Christies die Auktion An Aesthetic Odyssey: The Peter Rose and Albert Gallichan Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fowey von Charles March Gere zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.090,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Charles March Gere konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2008 die Arbeit Painswick Beacon für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.692,74) versteigert.
