Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Charles Lacoste achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in November last year. In the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction, the work Vue de Bordeaux sold for EUR 16,400.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Lacoste - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work La lumière au zénith. Nuit de Noël - 1898, which sold at auction in June this year for EUR 39,360.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Lacoste erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit Vue de Bordeaux für EUR 16.400,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Lacoste mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit La lumière au zénith. Nuit de Noël - 1898 beobachtet, die im Juni diesen Jahres für EUR 39.360,00 versteigert wurde.
