Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grand Cafe Sihlporte, Zürich by Charles Kuhn was sold in the The Ski Sale Including a Private Collection of Swiss Posters auction at Christies in London in January 2012. The price achieved of GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,433.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Kuhn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work St. Moritz in January 2012 with an auction result of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,103.88).
