This artwork by Charles Kinney achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in January 2021. In the Outsider and Vernacular Art auction, the work Dog, Wild Cat and Hunter sold for USD 1,000.00 (€ 824.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles Kinney - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Peacock, which sold at auction in January 2020 for USD 2,125.00 (€ 1,915.62).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Kinney erzielte im Januar 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Outsider and Vernacular Art wurde die Arbeit Dog, Wild Cat and Hunter für USD 1.000,00 (€ 824,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Charles Kinney mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Peacock beobachtet, die im Januar 2020 für USD 2.125,00 (€ 1.915,62) versteigert wurde.
