Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Hour Of The Masked Ball by Charles-Joseph Flipart was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January 2012. The price achieved of USD 50,000.00 (€ 38,305.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Charles-Joseph Flipart - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Court Ladies Out Shooting With Their Retinue, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 87,500.00 (€ 98,468.43).
