Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Charles Jean Agard could be acquired at Christies in London in January 2006 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Warts and all; and Man in a toga changed hands for GBP 60.00 (€ 87.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 150.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Jean Agard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fillette À La Robe À Poischarles-Jean Agard ; Young Girl Wearing A Dress With Spots ; Signed Lower Right ; Oil On Canvas in June 2013 with an auction result of EUR 11,875.00.
