In June 2021 Bonhams in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections, which included the work Zamin Larzeh by Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 162,750.00 (€ 189,646.06), 36% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tchaar-Bagh in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 1,609,000.00 (€ 1,033,530.32).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 36 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Middle Eastern Art including BaghdadiyatIraqi Masterpieces from the Madhloom and Makiya Collections durch, in der auch die Arbeit Zamin Larzeh von Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 162.750,00 (€ 189.646,06) und damit 36% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles-Hossein Zenderoudi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tchaar-Bagh im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.609.000,00 (€ 1.033.530,32).
