A top price for Charles Giron - as previously expected
The work Swiss Les Deux Soeurs by Charles Giron was sold in the European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The price achieved of GBP 264,500.00 (€ 336,455.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Swiss Les Deux Soeurs is the most expensive artwork by Charles Giron that we have observed at auctions so far.
