In the American Art Online auction, the work The Wood Engraver sold for USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,126.34) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Frederick Ulrich have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Washerwomen in May 2005 with an auction result of USD 284,800.00 (€ 230,625.96).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Frederick Ulrich erzielte im August 2020 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art Online wurde die Arbeit The Wood Engraver für USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.126,34) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Frederick Ulrich auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Washerwomen im Mai 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.800,00 (€ 230.625,96).
