In February 2012 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work A bustling street at dusk by Charles François Pécrus. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,194.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Charles François Pécrus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A steamer in the harbour at Trouville; and A ship at sea in stormy weather in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 3,290.00 (€ 5,240.94).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Februar 2012 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A bustling street at dusk von Charles François Pécrus zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.194,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles François Pécrus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A steamer in the harbour at Trouville; and A ship at sea in stormy weather im Dezember 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.290,00 (€ 5.240,94).
