A top price for Charles Edward Ritchie - as previously expected
In March 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work Portrait Of A Girl by Charles Edward Ritchie. The price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,396.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Portrait Of A Girl is the most expensive artwork by Charles Edward Ritchie that we have observed at auctions so far.
