This artwork by Charles Désiré Hue achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in September 2021. In the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction, the work La Lecture sold for EUR 3,120.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Charles Désiré Hue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The myth of King Candaules in January 2008 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,081.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Charles Désiré Hue erzielte im September 2021 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Art wurde die Arbeit La Lecture für EUR 3.120,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Charles Désiré Hue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The myth of King Candaules im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.081,11).
