Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christ At The Home Of Martha And Mary by Charles de La Fosse was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2018. The price achieved of EUR 35,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles de La Fosse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le Christ et les pélerins d'Emmaüs in September 2020 with an auction result of EUR 370,000.00.

Die Arbeit Christ At The Home Of Martha And Mary von Charles de La Fosse kam im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 35.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Charles de La Fosse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le Christ et les pélerins d'Emmaüs im September 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 370.000,00.
