Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work Hollyhocks Blooming in New Mexico (Corner at Mora, New Mexico) by Charles Berninghaus for USD 637.50 (€ 521.26). This price was achieved in the auction California and Western Art Online at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles Berninghaus achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Coral Fence (El Trado) in February 2021 with an auction result of USD 9,562.50 (€ 7,907.47).

Im Dezember 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Hollyhocks Blooming in New Mexico (Corner at Mora, New Mexico) von Charles Berninghaus für USD 637,50 (€ 521,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion California and Western Art Online bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00.
