This work of art by Charles-Alexandre Coëssin de la Fosse could be acquired at Bonhams in London in September this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and European Art Online auction, the work Gathering in the fishing net changed hands for GBP 640.00 (€ 640.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Charles-Alexandre Coëssin de la Fosse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nouvelle inattendue in April 2003 with an auction result of USD 9,560.00 (€ 7,785.02).
