Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of Uli Sigg As An Apec Congress Delegation Member by Chang Xugong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 7,211.11) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chang Xugong - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait No.1, which sold at auction in October 2007 for HKD 211,500.00 (€ 18,857.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait Of Uli Sigg As An Apec Congress Delegation Member von Chang Xugong kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 7.211,11) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Chang Xugong mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Portrait No.1 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für HKD 211.500,00 (€ 18.857,82) versteigert wurde.
