Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Dance For Medusa by Chang Fee Ming. The price achieved of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,438.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 150,000.00 – 220,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Chang Fee Ming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Gathering Of Graces In Front Of Mount Agung, which sold at auction in April 2013 for HKD 375,000.00 (€ 36,708.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Dance For Medusa von Chang Fee Ming zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.438,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 150.000,00 – 220.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Chang Fee Ming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Gathering Of Graces In Front Of Mount Agung beobachtet, die im April 2013 für HKD 375.000,00 (€ 36.708,31) versteigert wurde.
