Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Ceremony on Dumbbell Island by Chan Ka Yee was sold in the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2018. The price achieved of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 25,395.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 160,000.00 – 250,000.00. Other works by Chan Ka Yee have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2018 the work Remember Where You Came From was auctioned for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 32,776.35).
