Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Artcurial held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art, which included the work Compression - 1961 by César. It changed hands for a price of EUR 59,040.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by César achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Compression "Zim"Compressed Car in December 2015 with an auction result of EUR 627,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Artcurial die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Compression - 1961 von César zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 59.040,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von César erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Compression "Zim"Compressed Car im Dezember 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 627.000,00.
