Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nu allongé by Cesar Gemayel was auctioned at Bonhams in London in May last year. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,499.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cesar Gemayel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Jeune Fille Au Tantour (Portrait Of Pierette Gay-Para), which sold at auction in May 2019 for GBP 10,062.00 (€ 11,389.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nu allongé von Cesar Gemayel kam im Mai letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.499,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cesar Gemayel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Jeune Fille Au Tantour (Portrait Of Pierette Gay-Para) beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für GBP 10.062,00 (€ 11.389,58) versteigert wurde.
